Ghost Shrimp
The Ghost Shrimp (aka Glass Shrimp) has to be one of the easiest shrimp we kept. They're often sold in Local Pet Stores (LPS) as feeders, so they're usually inexpensive and very easy to obtain.

These shrimps are great scavengers and will eat almost anything available. They do prefer a more meaty meal, so they're not that great of an algae eater (compare to Cherry Shrimps). They got their name due to their transparent body. They do well in groups and most breeder can easily keep 20-50 in a 10 gallon tank. They breed frequently as well. The eggs are normally green and will hatch while attached to the mother. They're great starter shrimps and we recommend you get them locally since they're very common and it's generally not worth the shipping charges.
